Isak Borg, the First Secretary of the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang, is secretly dating Bok-joo, a local traffic officer—despite his status as a diplomat. One day, after a shady man is spotted near their secret meeting place, Bok-joo mysteriously disappears. As Borg’s departure date approaches, he begins a desperate search for her and starts to grow suspicious of his interpreter, Lee Myeong-jun.
