Ane and Thomas are in the middle of a divorce – when Ane suddenly suffers a stroke. They decide to stay together until Ane gets back on her feet, but as she struggles to return to life, love manifests where they least expected it.
This Danish feature film Beginnings (Begyndelser) is nominated for the 2026 Nordic Council Film Prize. The nominees are director Jeanette Nordahl, screenwriters Rasmus Birch and Jeanette Nordahl, and producers Eva Jakobsen, Katrin Pors and Mikkel Jersin.
